I can't believe we found this very video! We just bought a bedroom bench at a garage sale this past Saturday , Oct. 7th, & went straight to a Joanne's for new fabric to re- upholster it! We were sort of stuck on the arms, but now we know about that tack strip! Thank you. This arrived really, really quickly and is exactly what I've been looking for. Perfect size, color (pink) and has stood up for nearly a year so far against my kids using it as a chair, stage, and barricade (😬) to keep each other out of their rooms. I'm probably going to order another one for my daughter's Barbies.

How much fabric did you need to reupholster?

Has anyone re-upholstered a couch while leaving the original fabric on (underneath)? I’m looking for tips to do this to save time, as opposed to stripping the entire couch, because the couch will only be used for an art installation.

this might have been a really great help if, IF, you had not used background music! Why do people who post information video's feel that music is a must when someone is talking to convey information? so distracting, so unnecessary, so annoying.

I have a professional upholstery shop, and I have been upholstering since 1997. I have never in my life seen someone upholster a sofa the way you did! When I first started watching I cringed, with that being said, it turned out great! Not my style in fabric, but the end product looks very good! You definitely got some skills.

The second you said "but it was ugly. Designer doesn't make it cute." I laughed, liked and subscribed. Looking forward to taking this info to do my own ugly couch diy!

This looks neat but I prefer the original blades. The original cane blades were in good condition and looked a bit better to me though this is pretty neat.
